Shannon Hammel, TCRG
Certified Instructor
Shannon Hammel, TCRG, began dancing with the Bell School in the spring of 2001. She quickly became involved in the competitive side of dancing, alongside her sisters, and worked her way up through the levels. She competed at numerous regional and national competitions in solos, placing eleventh at the Mid-America Oireachtas, and was on multiple ceili teams as well. Since she also enjoys the performance side of dance, she took part in the Riverdance Summer School in 2015. Shannon attended Seneca Valley through middle school before going to Vincentian Academy, graduating in 2013. She then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in sociology with a minor in psychology from Duquesne University in August of 2017. Shannon began teaching with Bell in April of 2012 as an assistant instructor. She continued to dance through her college years before deciding to take her TCRG certification exam with the CLRG (An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha) her senior year of college. She passed her TCRG exam in May of 2017.
